Percussion Master Class

Hosted by Master Percussionist and former John F. Kennedy high school drum section leader Eddie Christmas, this session will include in depth instruction and training for young percussionists with a desire to continue pursuing opportunities as a percussionist in college and beyond.

Percussion Fundamentals

• Standard Rudiments

• Basic to Advanced Techniques

• Stick control  

Drum Kit Fundamentals 

• How to utilize drum corps techniques for playing a live set

• Playing live drums with band and tracks

 

We will also have a question and answer period

This course requires students come to class with their own drumsticks, mallets and drum pads.
